Last year, I wrote all about my Favorite Things: Nursery & Nesting. But now that Annie is almost a year old, I thought I it would be helpful to follow up with a post about what products I've loved the most as a new mom. FAvorite Things: BAby GearIt felt like everything I bought before Annie was born held so much potential and meaning (I'm just glad they turned out be pretty practical too). We have loved the gear we got- how it makes our home feel, how it helps us as new parents, and the significant role it plays in Annie's life. They've really become family heirlooms that I know will be with us for the next baby, and the one after that. BABY BOOK: Artifact Uprising Baby Book in Orchidee | I grew up with a baby book, so this was an absolute must for me. I did a lot of research before I picked this baby book. I considered the Promptly Journal and the Write to Me baby journal as well, but I have been in love with the Artifact Uprising Baby Book and prints since I first laid eyes on them. It comes with a coupon for 25 free prints, a pen, and stickies to adhere the pictures. The pages are beautiful and you can actually preview the whole book here. AND right now it's $20 off for a limited time only!!! BABY CARRIERS: Happy Baby Carrier in Charcoal & WildBird Sling in Sparrow and Gold | I have loved keeping my baby close and my hands free! BABY ROCKER: Charlie Crane Baby Rocker LEVO in Gentle White | This was my one great splurge. I spotted it deep in the throws of infertility and purchasing it was like a celebration that our baby was finally on the way. We didn't want something automated, and we love that it fits in with our home decor. And I just saw that Joanna Gaines has this same one, so naturally I'm feeling pretty cool :) CAR SEATS: Maxi COSI Mico Max 30 Infant Car Seat in Nomad Sand & Maxi COSI Pria 85 Max Convertible Car Seat in Nomad Blue | Safety was Matt's top priority when it came to our carseat, and we were both impressed with how secure she was in her seat from the very beginning. Plus, Maxi Cosi carseats are easy to clean, well known for being lightweight, and I love the way they look. CRIB & COSLEEPER: IKEA Singlar Crib & Snuggle Me Organic in Natural | The Snuggle Me was incredible on long nights when Annie could easily be soothed if she were just within arm's reach. I'd keep her next to me in bed until she was calm, and then move her back to her own crib. She always looked so safe and snug in there and I feel like it saved me from a lot of sleepless nights! And if I had the money... Dua Design Signature Bilia Bassinet in Natural or the Briar Basket (which comes with a sweet bonnet!) | I bought it and returned it. We just didn't need it and I ended up getting a beautiful Jenny Lind cradle for free from a neighbor. But with a stand like this one, I really do think these woven bassinets are just so sweet. PACIFIER: Nattursutten | This was one of the first things I ordered when I found out we were expecting. It arrived in the mail like a symbol of everything to come. And all I can say is that Annie has loved it since day one! ROCKING CHAIR: Belham Living holden Modern Indoor Rocking Chair in Buttercream | My mother in-law didn't have a rocking chair with her first babies, so when each of her children has been expecting his or her first child, that is the gift she gives. STROLLER: Mutsy Nexo Stroller in Blue Melange | I am in love with my stroller. It moves like butter and it's oh so handsome. It was easy to lug around airports and all over New York City. I would recommend it to everyone, but it looks like they may not make it anymore! FAvorite Things: Baby ClothesBefore Annie was born, I always used to say that it had taken us so long just to get pregnant that I didn't care about the baby clothes--I just wanted my baby and she could wear plain white onesies everyday and it wouldn't matter. And that's true! And she does wear white onesies a fair amount of the time. But little girls in bows and ruffle buns and dresses with buttons? There's nothing sweeter. Cammi & Co Velvet Baby Bows | I ordered a set of three at the end of my pregnancy and told my husband I "couldn't" go into labor until they arrived. I brought them with me to the hospital, and Annie has been wearing them ever since! She hardly seems to notice them on her head, and they add the simplest touch of femininity. Lavender Sun | Affordable baby clothes and shoes with so much personality. And free shipping always! I filled my cart and had to show some self control before checking out. I may have to go back for the little suede moccasins though... I ended up getting her the outfit and shoes pictured above and I love her little buns in buffalo check and her little belly hanging out under those emerald ruffles! Zara Kids | Such. Cute. Clothes! Just got Annie this dress for her first birthday and our upcoming family pictures. FAvorite Things: WebsitesI had all of the basics covered, but I'm finally getting to the point where it's time for the next set of "things." The point where Annie needs toys to keep her entertained. The point where I'm running out of clothes from her baby shower that fit her anymore. The point where Annie's bare feet won't cut it much longer and she's actually going to need to start wearing shoes and socks! She's also got her 1st birthday coming up with Christmas just around the corner, and I'm starting to see that there will always be something. But while there's not a lot that she needs beyond warm clothes and a clean bum, these are some of the websites I've looked to for inspiration: Andelisa & Co | Leather baby shoes Belly Blooming | Baby and children's clothes Billow & Sage | Handmade clothing Billy Bibs | Bibs and pacifier clips Briar Handmade | Baby bonnets Lucky Panda | Baby and kids clothes & accessories Murray & Finn | Clothing & toys Norman & Jules | Clothing, toys, and books Raduga Grez | Modern wooden toys Rylee + Cru | Clothing & accessories Looking back over this post, I have to end by saying how grateful I am for all of the people who helped us prepare our home for Annie. So many of these items were gifts, and what a blessing they have been! It's also crazy to think that many of them are already in storage, put away until we bring home our next baby, but it's also a sweet reminder that I can do it all over again someday and I'll be ready. What about you? Where do you like to shop for your little one? What are some of your favorite baby items? These opinions are my own. This post was written in collaboration with Lavender Sun.

Having a baby is really a blessing and fun too. I believe that children bring joy to the family so it is only fair to get the things that will make them happy and comfortable. The list that you have included here will surely help those parents who are still clueless with the things to buy for their children especially those new born ones. Crib or co-sleeper is one of the things I am most excited about in having a baby. And since once of my friends will be having her very first child, I will ask her if she will allow me to go with her to buy some stuff for her baby.
